Marty Martin is a veteran children’s pastor and friend of Karl Bastian (founder of Kidology.org) who has been commissioned by Karl to take Kidology “on the road” to Equip and Encourage Children’s Workers throughout North America. Pastor Marty and his wife are the parents of five boys and have been in children’s ministry for nearly twenty years in both the United States and Canada.

Once featured on Karl’s blog, Marty is one of those “in the trenches” kidmin leaders who has “been there, done that” and done it with excellence. He shares Karl’s heart for encouraging others along the way – especially those who are new and learning. When Marty’s family shared with Karl their dream of taking a few years out of weekly church ministry to travel the country in an RV as a family – little did they know that Karl had a dream for Kidology to “get off the web and into churches” and had been praying for God to show him how this could be possible. Their two separate dreams were perfect for each other! Karl’s advice to Marty was “just do it” and offered his support to help make Marty’s dream a reality by giving him something to do along the way – minister in churches doing something Marty does great: equipping and encouraging.

Karl admits to being a little jealous of Marty’s mission and has plans to “drop in” on a few of these training events… so you just never know when it may be a Karl and Marty event!
